General Policies

We reserve the right to refuse service to any client at our discretion.

Please be aware that our services are not a substitute for medical care. Our therapists are not licensed to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental conditions.

If you experience pain or discomfort during your session, please inform the therapist immediately so they can adjust the pressure or techniques to your comfort level. Failure to communicate discomfort releases the therapist and Serenity Massage & Energywork from any responsibility for pain or discomfort experienced during or after the session.

The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only. While Serenity Massage & Energywork strives to keep the information accurate and up-to-date, we make no guarantees, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics. Any reliance on this information is at your own risk.

 

Payments may be made (including deposits) in Cash or Card. No Check Accepted. Feel free to pay your deposit for your next session in cash when you checkout out from your current session to avoid Card Processing Fees. 

MINORS are not allowed to wait outside the treatment room while their parent/guardian has a session. They must be with you at all times

Children under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian during their session- IN the treatment room.

Card Processing Fees

Starting December 2024 and until further notice, a 2.79% + .20 Card Processing fee will be applied to all credit and debit card purchases. While we don't want to move to cash only and impact our clients ability to book online, we can no longer absorb the cost of Credit and Debit card processing fees. We hope you understand. Cash payments will not have this fee.

Professional and Non-Sexual Services Policy

At Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC, we are committed to providing professional, therapeutic, and non-sexual massage services. All services rendered by our licensed therapists are strictly professional, adhering to the highest standards of care and respect for client well-being.

Zero Tolerance for Inappropriate Conduct

Any client who schedules a session with the intent to solicit sexual acts, or who engages in sexual or harassing behavior during a session, will have their service immediately terminated. This behavior will be reported to the appropriate authorities, and the individual will forfeit any fees paid for the session. Additionally, they will be permanently banned from scheduling any future services with Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC.

To ensure the safety and integrity of our environment, any documented evidence, including screenshots of communications or actions related to inappropriate conduct, will be provided to law enforcement.

Our priority is to maintain a safe, professional, and respectful atmosphere for both clients and therapists. Thank you for helping us uphold these standards.

Cancellation Policy

  • Deposits become non-refundable 2 days prior to your session. 

  • 2 day Notice: Cancellations must be made at least 2 days before the session to avoid forfeiting the deposit. 

  • No Call/No Show: A No Call-No Show (no contact within 15 minutes of the start time) will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Multiple no-shows will result in permanent termination of services.

  • Payment: If a deposit, prepaid session or gift card is on file, it will be charged to cover the missed session; if not, the card on file will be charged. Outstanding balances must be paid before booking future sessions.

  • Late Arrivals: If late (no contact within 5 minutes of the start time), clients may receive the remaining session time, depending on therapist availability.
     

Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, please call us before the 2 day window of your original appointment, and we’ll gladly move your session to a new day and time. We will always prioritize rescheduling over canceling to help you retain your deposit when you call before the 2 day window. However, if you reschedule within that 2 day window, we will move your session, but are unable to offer a second rescheduling after that, as this would impact the therapist's schedule and income twice. It can be very hard to get a new booking that close to the appointment time.

 

Rescheduling when the therapist is suddenly unavailable 

  • For Clients Who "Heart" Their Therapist at booking: If you have a preferred therapist, rest assured you’ll not be reassigned without consent. If your therapist becomes unavailable, we’ll make every effort to reach you by phone, voicemail, or email to reschedule. If we cannot do so within an hour of the session, the session will be canceled in the hopes you get THAT notification and do not arrive for a session.

  • For Clients Without Therapist Preference (did not 'heart' their service provider at checkout: Your session will be reassigned to another available therapist to maintain your appointment time.


Important: If no gender preference is on file, we will assign any available therapist, regardless of gender.

 

If you have specific gender preferences, please inform us at 712-256-2131 so we can update your profile accordingly.​
 

Continuing Education (CE) Policy

All Continuing Education (CE) workshops and training programs at Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC are provided solely for educational purposes. These programs are designed to teach skills and techniques within each specific modality's scope of practice and are not intended to provide healing or treatment for any physical or mental condition or illness.

Participants are responsible for understanding and adhering to their own professional scope of practice when applying any skills learned. Use of any information, techniques, or tools presented in these programs is solely at the discretion and responsibility of the participant.

Continuing Education (CE) Class Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations Made More Than 2 Weeks Before the Class: If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the scheduled class date, you will receive a full refund minus the cost of any class supplies already purchased.

  • Cancellations Made Within 2 Weeks Before the Class: If you cancel within 2 weeks of the scheduled class date, your refund will be reduced by 50% of the registration fee.

  • Day-of Cancellations: No refunds will be provided for cancellations made on the day of the class.

Thank you for your understanding, as these policies help us maintain an organized and effective learning environment for all participants.

 

Shamanic Healing and Energy Work Disclaimer

By choosing to view or participate in Shamanic Healing or other energy work services, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for your use of this information and service.

Practitioners at Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC are not licensed physicians or surgeons. Shamanic Healing and other energy work services are not licensed by the states of Iowa or Nebraska and are offered as complementary practices, alongside licensed healing arts services.

Shamanic Healing and energy work are spiritual practices focused on addressing the spiritual aspects of illness. These services do not replace traditional medical or psychological treatment. As with any spiritual healing practice, responses vary, and specific emotional or physical outcomes cannot be predicted.

RETURN POLICY

 Eligibility

  • Full Refund or Exchange: Damaged or defective items can be returned for a full refund or exchange within 7 days of purchase, delivery, or pickup.

  • Store Credit: Returns after 7 days and up to 30 days since purchase, delivery, or pickup may qualify for store credit.

  • No Returns After 30 Days: We do not accept returns beyond 30 days from purchase, delivery, or pickup.
     

Online Purchases

  1. Return Process:

    • Contact customer service at Info@serenitymassageandenergywork.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and form.

    • Place the item in its original packaging, include the RMA form, and mail it to the address below within 7 days of the delivery date.

    • You are responsible for return shipping charges unless a prepaid return label is provided. Use a trackable shipping method.

In-Store Purchases

Return in-store purchases within 3 days with your receipt for a full refund if the item was damaged or defective.

REFUNDS

After receiving and inspecting your return, we will process your refund. Please allow 7 days for processing once received. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your statement, depending on your credit card provider. We will notify you via email once your return is processed.
 

EXCEPTIONS

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Used items

  • Opened personal care items

  • Sale or clearance items

Note: A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns over $150.

Gift Card Policy

The purchase or use of a Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC gift card constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

  1. Expiration and Validity: All gift cards expire a year from the date of purchase and are non-refundable. Is state opr federal laws extend the expiration date- we will follow those laws. However, It will only be for the amount actually paid- not the the value it was given if during a sale or special. 

  2. Scheduling: Gift cards are redeemable for services, but we will not reschedule other clients to accommodate gift card use. Gift cards are subject to availability, and we encourage booking well in advance to secure your preferred time.

  3. Responsibility and Replacement: Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC is not responsible for unauthorized use, loss, theft, or damage to gift cards. Replacement is only possible with valid proof of purchase for the remaining balance. Altered or defaced proofs of purchase are void.

  4. Non-Cash Redemption: Gift cards are not redeemable for cash or credit, except as required by law.

  5. Price Adjustments: If our prices have increased since the gift card purchase date, any difference between the gift card amount and the current service price will be due at checkout.

COVID-19 Policy

  • Rescheduling Due to Symptoms or Exposure: You agree to reschedule your appointment if you have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms within 14 days prior to your appointment or if you have cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days prior to your appointment.

  • Mask Requirement: If masks are required by the business at the time of your session, you agree to wear a mask during your appointment.

  • Acknowledgment of COVID-19 Risks: By confirming your appointment, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk of potential exposure or infection by entering our establishment. You understand that such exposure or infection could result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.

  • Liability Waiver: You understand that the risk of COVID-19 exposure or infection may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including but not limited to, employees, volunteers, and other program participants and their families. By visiting this establishment, you release Serenity Massage & Energywork LLC from any claims arising from COVID-19 exposure or infection during your visit.
